NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka discussed the important economic benefits and jobs provided by Linden’s Bayway Industrial Complex during a recent episode of “Energy Matters with Jeanette Hoffman” broadcast on ONNJ.
A recent economic analysis, produced by the New Jersey Institute of Technology and NJBIA, determined that the five co-located corporations at this one facility generate $21.3 billion in statewide economic output and support more than 12,000 direct and indirect jobs.
“When we have discussions about policy in the state of New Jersey, too often the impact on business is not even part of the discussion,” Siekerka said. “So, an impact study like this puts business at the center ... when we talk about energy policy and its impact on the state.”
Other guests who discussed the significance of the report’s findings were Senator Jon Bramnick, who serves on the Senate Commerce Committee, and Assemblyman William Spearman, chairman of the Assembly Commerce, Economic Development & Agriculture Committee.
