Presented by the Nonprofit Council

2025 was an unsettling year for nonprofits, marked by disrupted funding streams, new reporting mandates, and tougher compliance expectations. And 2026 is already shaping up to bring more questions than answers:

  • How do you plan when the ground keeps moving under you?
  • With mounting pressure around budgets, staffing, and long-range plans, how are you supposed to make informed decisions with so little clarity?
  • How do you align your board, staff, and partners amid the widespread confusion?

We’ve got you covered!

Join us on January 26th for our virtual Nonprofit Council, Understanding the Road Ahead: 2026 Policy Outlook, where we’ll dig into forces shaping the policy, funding, and operating environment for nonprofits in 2026.

The 60-minute session will cover:

  • Emerging policy themes for 2026: Expected changes that could influence funding, compliance work, and future advocacy efforts.
  • Key takeaways from the January Federal Reserve Session: Insights into the economic factors that may affect budgets, planning cycles, and resource decisions
  • The New NJ administration’s priorities: Focus areas tied to workforce policy, budget direction, and community investment.
  • Federal and State legislative outlook: Legislative activity underway at both levels and what it means for your planning
  • Current conditions for nonprofits and philanthropic groups: Challenges surfacing in New Jersey, how they reflect national patterns, and the steps organizations are taking to adjust.
