To bring more visibility to our members and the business issues surrounding them, NJBIA produces “Minding Your Business,” a weekly television show that airs weekends on News 12+. The show, a winner of seven Telly Awards over the past three years, including a gold 2024 Telly in the Interview & Talk Show category, is hosted by Bob Considine and highlights different member businesses each week. It can be seen on Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

To help catch you up, here is one of our favorite episodes from 2025. Check back throughout next week for more favorites.

On this episode of Minding Your Business, NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka and Chief Government Affairs Officer Chris Emigholz joined Bob Considine to discuss the association’s 2025 Blueprint for a Competitive New Jersey, a 28-page policy document that offers the state’s elected officials a roadmap to drive innovation and prosperity in the Garden State.

Also in this edition, Fight for Freelancers co-founder Kim Kavin and former NJBIA VP Elissa Frank discussed their strong opposition to a controversial rule proposed by the state Department of Labor that aims to classify many more New Jersey independent contractors as employees for the companies they service.
