Health Affairs Committee

For the last quarter century, NJBIA members have told us that their No. 1 concern is the cost of health benefits. This is reflected regularly when we conduct our Business Outlook and Health Benefits surveys. They tell us that affordable health insurance is a top priority for our members.

Our members continue to offer health benefits to their employees in very large numbers. They understand that they need to do so in order to attract and retain a quality workforce. In fact, a large percentage of members tell us they would take a hit to their bottom line in order to continue providing benefits. We want to work with policymakers to ensure they understand the factors that are driving up the cost of health benefits. If we don’t, it won’t be a question of if our members will reduce or eliminate benefits, but when.

Learn about legislation and regulatory developments that directly affect the cost and availability of healthcare and insurance for you and your employees. If you have questions, please contact Althea Ford at aford@njbia.org.
