Berkeley College’s “One Word” commercial highlighting the student experience has been honored by the 45th Annual Telly Awards, recognizing excellence in video and television.

The Berkeley commercial received a Bronze Telly in the Online Commercials – Educational Institution category, and a Silver Telly in the People’s Telly – Online Commercials category.

The 45th Annual Telly Awards received more than 13,000 entries worldwide, and were judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, and production companies. Honorees include Adobe, ESPN, LinkedIn, MTV Entertainment Studios, and other distinguished companies and organizations, including NJBIA.

“The caliber of the work this season truly has reflected the theme of going beyond the frame,” said Amanda Needham, Managing Director, The Telly Awards. “Our industry is experimenting with new technologies like never before, crafting truly compelling stories to draw attention to some of the world’s most pressing issues.”

The commercial was a collaboration with Dellas Media LLC, which completed the cinematography, editing, and motion graphics. Individual Berkeley College acknowledgments include Panagiota Babadelis, director of Marketing; Richard Diehl, art director; and James Thorpe, copywriter.

According to The Telly Awards, this year’s contest pushed the boundaries of creativity by including topics within generative AI, data visualization, and accessibility, as well as technologies and storytelling formats that are actively evolving within the video and television industry.

NJBIA’s “Minding Your Business,” a weekly business show that airs on News 12+, was also a recipient of two 2024 Telly Awards, including a gold award in the Interview & Talk Show category.
