The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and the North American Building Trades Union have joined to push for major regulatory reform.
In an op-ed for Fox News, NAM President Jay Timmons and Building Trades President Sean McGarvey say the current outdated system is constricting job growth, and stifling business investment and innovation. They want bipartisan reform that brings transparency, scientific integrity and accountability to the federal rule-making system.
“Ask a skilled craftsman or small manufacturer what’s wrong with the economy, and you’ll probably get a similar answer – a government that is simultaneously too overbearing and too unresponsive,” they write. Read the full article here.
