The Chinese agricultural products company Farmmi Inc. recently opened a 49,800-square-foot warehouse in Somerset, marking a significant expansion of the corporation’s logistics operations in North America to the East Coast.

Founded in 1998, Farmmi, Inc. is an agricultural product supplier specializing in the processing, sales, and retail of edible fungi, including shiitake mushrooms and wood ear mushrooms, as well as other agricultural products.

The new logistics hub, operated by the company’s U.S. subsidiary Farmmi USA Inc., aims to enhance warehousing capabilities, streamline operations, and reduce shipping costs for customer orders in the eastern United States, while shortening delivery times. The leased warehouse is part of a multi-tenant industrial park located at 1100 Randolph Road.

“As an agricultural products supplier and distribution logistics services provider, we are dedicated to optimizing our distribution network to better serve our growing customer base with high-quality products, said Yefang Zhang, CEO of Farmmi said on March 28.

“The official launch of our New Jersey facility not only strengthens Farmmi’s competitiveness in the U.S. market but also further improves our operational efficiency and supports our long-term strategic goals,” she said.
