2024 Annual Public Policy Forum, December 4, 2024 REGISTER

NJBIA will launch the first of five scheduled “Meet the Candidates” events on March 10, when Democratic Assemblyman John Wisniewski makes his case for being the next Governor of New Jersey. (Register here.)

“We encourage our members to be part of the political process so that we can keep business concerns in the forefront of the campaigns and in the minds of candidates,” said NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka. “This is a great forum for business owners to hear firsthand what the candidates have to say and learn about their stances on the issues important to them.”

Wisniewski is a 20-year veteran of the New Jersey Assembly, representing the 19th Legislative District since 1996. He currently serves as the Deputy Speaker, a position he has held since 2004, and is chairman of the Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee, and a member of the Environment and Solid Waste Committee. In the 2016 presidential primary race, he was New Jersey chairman for Democrat Bernie Sanders.

Wisniewski owns and runs a general practice law firm, Wisniewski and Associates, L.L.C., based in Sayreville.

The two-hour event will begin 8:30 a.m. at NJBIA’s Trenton Headquarters in the Innovation Zone.
