The state of New Jersey’s business climate is on the menu during a free Pancakes & Policy breakfast that will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21 at the Americana Kitchen & Bar on Route 130 North in East Windsor.

A panel of state and national policy experts will discuss the proposed New Jersey business tax increases and their impact on the state’s economic future at this two-hour event hosted by Jersey 1st, Americans for Prosperity New Jersey, and NJBIA. The pancake breakfast is free.

Speakers include radio talk show host and Fox News contributor Guy Benson; NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka; NJBIA Chief Government Affairs Officer Christopher Emigholz; and retired Senate Republican Leader Steve Oroho.

They will discuss the proposed business tax increases in the governor’s FY25 budget: a 2.5% corporate transit fee that would raise New Jersey corporate taxes to 11.5% and a tax on trucks coming and going from e-commerce distribution facilities.

To register to attend Pancakes & Policy, go here. Registered attendees must be 18 or older and may not wear candidate shirts, stickers, pins or other campaign paraphernalia. No children under 14 are permitted for this policy discussion.
