The New Jersey Economic Development Authority and the Wind Institute have partnered with the Business Network for Offshore Wind to offer the Foundation 2 Blade industry training free-of-charge to all New Jersey-based businesses this month.
Foundation 2 Blade is the industry’s most comprehensive training program for businesses that want to take advantage of opportunities in the rapidly growing offshore wind industry. Normally valued at over $2,000, this multiday training on Oct. 24, 25 and 26 will be available for free to New Jersey businesses and organizations.
Over three sessions, participants will receive a full overview of the industry, including the latest on technology, policy, supply chain and workforce needs, and most importantly, how to find entry into the offshore wind market.
Led by the Network’s highly skilled trainers and a panel of industry experts, Foundation 2 Blade provides the tools, resources, and industry connections that prepare a business to successfully enter the offshore wind supply chain.
The training includes a 250-page textbook and six training modules including an introduction to offshore wind; siting and permitting; manufacturing; construction and installation; operations and maintenance; and entering the offshore wind supply chain.
The training sessions take place online from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct 24-26. For further information and to register, go here. For questions, contact Cecile Coronato, senior project officer for Offshore Wind and Clean Hydrogen at the NJEDA at ccoronato@njeda.com.
