HEI Mercer Spring recently acquired Mercer Spring, a renowned vehicle spring and suspension repair facility in Hamilton Township.

HEI Mercer Spring has retained the experienced workforce that has established Mercer Spring as an industry leader, according to Keith Smith and Brian Radwell, the co-owners of the new enterprise.

Smith has over 40 years of experience in the industry as owner-operator of Hainesport Enterprises Inc., a truck and auto repair company that has grown from nine to over 90 employees. Hainesport Enterprises Inc., an NJBIA member company located on Route 38 in Hainesport, has over 40 bays to service customers.

“We will quickly add our expertise to that of the HEI Mercer Spring team,” Smith said. “The new operation will be a full-service truck repair shop, from tires to paint. HEI Mercer Spring’s expertise is undercarriage (suspension) repair, and we bring transmission, engine, hydraulics, brake, body, paint, and more. Come see the newly remodeled parts department and now, when you need the part, we will deliver it.”

Radwell has over 40 years of business experience, growing Radwell International from four employees into a global company employing thousands.

“We are thrilled to enhance the service offerings of HEI Mercer Spring, showing current and new customers the superior service Keith has built his reputation on,” Radwell said.

Significant investments have already been made upgrading the grounds and buildings. Smith has begun the process of installing hundreds of thousands of dollars of new equipment, with more to come. The recruitment of additional staff and the introduction of new services signify a commitment to future growth and development, the owners said.
