An educational summit exploring the medical advancements, economic drivers, and forward-thinking policies that foster innovation in New Jersey’s life science industry will be presented by the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey in Edison on Friday, March 7. 

Registration is now open for this half-day event, which will feature breakfast, three robust panel discussions and a lunch reception. Topics include: 

  • “Saving Lives Around the World by Finding Cures in New Jersey,” moderated by Richard Bagger, partner and executive director of Christie 55 Solutions. Panelists include: Patrick Collins, VP of Community and Corporate Affairs at the National Organization for Rare Disorders; and David Perlin, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer and Executive VP at Hackensack Meridian Health Center for Discovery and Innovation. 
  • “New Jersey’s Life Sciences: Our Economic Engine,” moderated by Michele Siekerka,  President & CEO of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association. Panelists include Tim Sullivan, CEO of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority; Peter Connolly, President & CEO of the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program; and Chanelle Scott McCullum, Middlesex County Commissioner. 
  • “Innovation Ecosystem: Partnering on Policies,” moderated by Christopher Paladino, President of the New Brunswick Development Corporation (DEVCO) and CEO of HELIX NJ. Panelists include Ali Houshmand, Ph.D., President of Rowan University; and Teik C. Lim, Ph.D., President of the New Jersey Insitute of Technology (NJIT).
