The Monmouth-Ocean Development Council recently relaunched its Health & Wellness Committee, an initiative to enrich MODC members through programs focused on personal health, employee wellness, the care continuum, and professional networking.

As the business landscape continues to evolve, the Health & Wellness Committee will serve as a platform for sharing resources, fostering collaboration, and promoting strategies that help organizations and individuals thrive—both personally and professionally.

The committee will be co-chaired by Howard Stein, President & Owner of Home Helpers Home Care of Freehold, and Brandon Eldershaw, MA, CHC, Manager of Community & Corporate Health at CentraState Health System/Atlantic Health System. Together, Stein and Eldershaw bring a wealth of experience in healthcare, leadership, and community engagement, united by their shared commitment to improving quality of life across the region.

“The MODC Health & Wellness Committee is about connection, collaboration, and creating meaningful dialogue around well-being in all its forms,” Stein said. “We aim to engage our members on topics that impact both the individual and the workplace — from self-care and stress management to employee wellness initiatives and continuity of care. Our goal is to make wellness an integral part of how our business community grows and succeeds.”

MODC Executive Director Dana Lancellotti congratulated Stein and Eldershaw on their new roles.

“Through their shared passion and diverse expertise, Howard Stein and Brandon Eldershaw are a perfect fit to drive new perspectives and elevate our mission through guidance, engagement, and impactful resources for our members as we navigate the multi-faceted landscape of personal and professional health,” Lancellotti said.

The committee is planning a Kickoff to 2026 event at the OceanFirst Bank Center-Monmouth University Basketball Arena on Jan. 12, an event focused on how sports and community engagement energize businesses and teams. The luncheon event will feature expert health and wellness experts and elite members of the soccer community to celebrate the FIFA World Cup Finals coming to New Jersey in 2026.

Details and registration information for Kickoff to 2026 can be found here.

The Health & Wellness Committee invites all MODC members who are passionate about health, wellness, and professional collaboration to get involved. The committee will meet regularly to host educational discussions, networking events, and community partnerships that foster holistic success.
