The Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC) celebrated the 39th Annual ATHENA Leadership Award finalists, who include NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka, at a recent MRCC reception sponsored by BMW of Freehold. 

The event brought together the finalists who briefly introduced themselves and connected with past recipients of the prestigious award, MRCC board members, and other guests. 

The ATHENA Leadership Award honors individuals for business achievements, community service, and especially for mentoring and encouraging women to realize their leadership potential. The award’s international scope and emphasis on mentorship make it one of the most esteemed leadership recognitions globally. 

Ivy Jacot, co-chair of the ATHENA Leadership Award Program said, “I am continuously inspired by the remarkable women we honor through the ATHENA Awards. Each finalist exemplifies not only outstanding professional achievement but also a commitment to mentoring and uplifting others, especially women. The ATHENA Leadership Awards finalists are:

  •  Tracey Abby-White, member, board of trustees, Brookdale Community College 
  • Jacklyn Atkins, founder & executive director, NJ Give a Kid a Dream 
  • Bonnie Featherstone-Johnson, retired owner, BonaFide Staffing/nonprofit volunteer 
  • Dr. Jackeline Mejias-Fuertes, regional director, America’s SBDC NJ at Brookdale Community College 
  • Michele Siekerka, Esq., president & CEO, NJ Business & Industry Association 

The ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award finalists are:

  • Kristen Cladek, social worker, LADACIN Network 
  • Dr. Manuela Jimenez, supervisor & teacher, Perth Amboy Schools 
  • Brianna Lindia, wedding singer, The Nines / music teacher, Music for Aardvarks 
  • Dr. Susan Pagano, executive director, Continuing & Professional Studies, Brookdale Community College 
  • Chelsea Traina, principal, Schroth School, LADACIN Network 

 The MRCC invites the community to celebrate these women at the ATHENA Leadership Awards Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune, where one award recipient in each category will be announced.
