The upcoming NeuroX New Jersey conference will bring together corporate and government leaders, academia, investors, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists to explore how artificial intelligence can broaden opportunities for neurodivergent talent in the workplace.
The conference, Neurodiversity in the Workplace Meets AI, will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the he Heldrich Hotel & Conference Center, New Brunswick.
Neurodiversity spans cognitive variations like autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and twice exceptional (“2E”) individuals, who have exceptional intellectual strengths in specific areas. These talents are often underutilized, leaving businesses with large pools of untapped potential in creative problem-solving and innovation, according to Drew Peloso, the conference founder.
Panel discussions and fireside chats with businesses executives, state government leaders and other stakeholders will share strategies that will help attendees:
- Source, recruit, and integrate neurodivergent talent;
- Leverage AI to enhance workplace inclusion and efficiency;
- Build a neuroinclusive culture that unlocks creativity, boosts productivity, and fuels business growth.
Speakers and contributors include experts in AI computing and hiring, including NVIDIA and Microsoft, the Autism Society of America, cabinet officials from various state departments and agencies, including the Department of Labor & Workforce Development, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, and the Secretary of Higher Education.
Mike Renna, the president & CEO of South Jersey Industries, who is also an NJBIA board member, is among the leading private sector executives participating in the conference.
