Meet the Gubernatorial Candidates – ELC Reception 2025 REGISTER

Registration is now open for the State of New Jersey’s first “Business Pathways Forum” in June when business owners can learn how to navigate public and private procurement systems and participate in coordinated matchmaking sessions between procurement officials and suppliers.

The two-day event on June 12 & 13 is hosted by the Department of Treasury’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) and the New Jersey Business Action Center (NJBAC) at Rutgers University-New Brunswick’s Livingston Campus in Piscataway. Space is limited so business owners are urged to register here as soon as possible if interested in attending.

A 2023 state law requires ODI and NJBAC to host this annual procurement matchmaking event to ensure that nonprofits and small businesses, especially those owned by women, minorities and veterans, are aware of opportunities to do business with government agencies.

The forum will allow small businesses to engage with procurement officials at the federal, state, local and private enterprise level. On-site support will be available to business owners seeking certification designations, such as small-business owned, women-owned, minority-owned or veteran-owned. In addition to tips on preparing successful bids, attendees can also benefit from experts’ personalized advice on building their businesses.

To learn about the many types of goods and services needed by government agencies, visit the state Division of Purchase and Property (DDP) website and use the online Commodity Codes Search developed by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP). Additionally, a list of construction and construction-related services trade codes by the State Division of Property Management & Construction can be in this DDP document on Form 3.
