Nominations are now open for the New Jersey District Export Council’s International Trade Awards recognizing excellence among New Jersey’s leading exporters.
The goal of the NJ International Trade Awards (NJITA) is to honor New Jersey companies that have worked diligently to expand their exporting efforts by penetrating new markets or by increasing their presence in existing markets. By embracing growth strategies exporters are improving New Jersey’s economic landscape.
Nominations are being accepted online through Feb. 22 here.
There are four award categories:
- Exporter of the Year: Awarded to a New Jersey company that has grown its exports and made exporting a cornerstone of its business.
- Service Exporter of the Year: Awarded to a New Jersey company that is successfully exporting services, such as architectural, engineering, legal, financial, construction, accounting, and consulting services sold to international buyers.
- New Exporter of the Year: Awarded to a New Jersey company that has begun exporting products or services within the last two years.
- Minority Owned/Diverse Exporter of the Year: Awarded to a New Jersey company that is successfully exporting, and whose owners or senior leaders represent an underserved business community defined as African American/Black, Asian American, Hispanic American, Native American, Veteran and Service-Disabled, Woman, or LGBTQI+.
All nominees must be headquartered in New Jersey. Companies can nominate themselves or be nominated by others.
Winners must be present to accept their award on May 15 at the International Trade Awards and will also be asked to participate in a panel discussion. The event, which will be held at the Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, brings together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals to share insights and strategies for success in the global marketplace.
