Businesses and other organizations interested in learning more about how reducing waste, recycling, and buying recycled products can help their bottom line are invited to the next online meeting of the New Jersey WasteWise Business Network on Nov. 7. 

Registration is now open here for this free online seminar, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, Nov. 7.  Individuals who are New Jersey Certified Recycling Professionals can earn 1.5 recertification credits by attending. 

Presentations and speakers include: 

  • “Share My Meals…Fighting Food Insecurity and Food Waste” – Helene Lanctuit, Chief Executive Officer, Share My Meals, a nonprofit based in Princeton.  
  • “The Morris and Sussex County Boat Shrink Wrap Recycling Program” – Anthony Marrone, Morris County District Recycling Coordinator, Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority. 
  • “Update on the New Atlantic Coast Recycling Class A Recycling Center and Recycling Markets” – John Stanton, Director of Business Operations, Atlantic Coast Recycling. 
  • “Case Study – Cream Ridge Winery, Inc. – Successful Recycling and Waste Reduction Strategies That Exceed Industry Standards” – Tim Schlitzer, CEO, and Jackie Schlitzer, Vineyard and Farm Manager, Cream Ridge Winery 

Each presentation will be 20 minutes. There will be a question-and-answer period at the conclusion of the meeting.  

NJ Certified Recycling Professionals will earn 1.5 recertification credits split 50-50 between meeting and classroom credits.
