Businesses and other organizations interested in learning more about how waste reduction, recycling and buying recycled products can help their bottom line as well as the environment are invited to the May 5 online meeting of the New Jersey WasteWise Business Network.
The free event includes short presentations by experts on a range of recycling and environmental sustainability topics including:
- The Book Bin Fundraising and Repurposing Program (Matt Laiacona, Owner, New Legacy Books)
- The Business of Food Recovery & Sustainable Food Waste Management (Gary Sondermeyer, vice president of operations, Bayshore Family of Companies, and co-chair of New Jersey Climate Change Alliance)
- S. Green Building Council Overview and Sustainable Building Opportunities (Medea Villere, program manager, U.S. Green Building Council, and Wayne DeFeo, principal and founder, DeFeo Associates)
- The Delaware River and Bay Authority’s Award-Winning Office and Public Space Waste Reduction and Recycling Program (Al Fralinger, environmental, health and safety manager, Delaware River and Bay Authority).
