NJBIA member Insmed Inc., a global biopharmaceutical company on a mission to transform the lives of patients with serious and rare diseases, is one of 11 New Jersey companies named to Deloitte’s list of the 500 fastest-growing tech companies in North America.
Insmed experienced a whopping 1,186% growth between 2018-2021, according to Deloitte’s North America 2022 Technology Fast 500 list released Thursday. Insmed, led by CEO William Lewis, ranked No. 5 on the New Jersey winners list and No. 90 on the overall list.
“This year’s Technology Fast 500 list is a true reflection of some of today’s most determined and inspiring pioneers who have prospered by anticipating what’s next, understanding what’s needed to succeed, and driving creativity forward,” said Christie Simons, Partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP. “Representing all facets of technology, the winners have shown they not only have the vision but can also expertly manage their companies through rapid growth.”
Now in its 28th year, the list ranks the fast-growing North American companies in the technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, fintech and energy tech sectors. Awardees are selected based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth over a three-year period. Overall, the 2022 Technology Fast 500 companies achieved revenue growth ranging from 241% to 125,138% between 2018-2021 with a median growth rate of 611%.
The top company on this year’s list was Vir Biotechnology Inc., a San Francisco-based life sciences company. Software and services companies Takeoff Technologies in Waltham, Mass., and Axonius in New York City took the second and third spots, respectively.
