NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka and Vice President of Government Affairs Althea D. Ford were named to the 2023 NJ Women’s Power List compiled by Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter.
The list, which was formerly created by former Senator Loretta Weinberg, annually issues the list to highlight women participating in the political process outside of being an elected official.
The 2023 list is dedicated to the late Lieutenant Governor Shiela Oliver. In her comments, Sumter said: “Due to the many cracks made by the chisels of leaders like Senator Loretta Weinberg, Senator Wynona Lipman, and the late Lieutenant Governor Sheila Y. Oliver, the glass ceiling is certainly weaker than it once was. There is, however, much work left to do if we are going to shatter the glass entirely.”
