The New Jersey Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) will host Cherian Koshy, an internationally recognized expert in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector as part of the organization’s annual Frank V. Whitley Lecture in Edison on March 7.

Koshy has more than 25 years’ experience working with nonprofits, specializing in fundraising. As a coach and consultant, he has led organizations to scale their revenue growth and build stronger teams, helping struggling nonprofits find strategies that give them back time and develop predictable success. He is a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE), Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) and an AFP Master Trainer.

Koshy’s keynote, “Unforgettable Leadership: Navigating Adaptability, Influence, and Technological Change,” is the highlight of the session that will explore the essential skills nonprofit leaders need to thrive in an era of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. Topics will include adaptive leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), remote work strategies, and equipping teams for success.

AFP President & CEO Mike Geiger, MBA, CPA will also provide an outlook on philanthropy in 2025 prior to the keynote, offering critical insights into the evolving landscape of charitable giving and nonprofit sustainability.
