The 2nd Annual Technology & Innovation Conference: Delivering Innovation for the 21st Century, will be hosted April 23 by the Raritan Valley Community College Department of Business & Public Service and the Council of Supply Chain Management NY/NJ Chapter.  

The event, which is free of charge and open to the public, will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Event Center at the college’s Branchburg campus. Business leaders, industry professionals, students, faculty, and other members of the community are encouraged to attend. 

The event’s panel of industry experts will explore how the evolution of technology is driving innovation in the workplace, offering specific examples of innovation and the associated benefits. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the talent needs of business and how higher education can help meet the current and future workforce training demands. 

Participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout the event and network with presenters afterwards. 

The panel discussion will be moderated by Keith Spero, adjunct professor of Supply Chain Management, RVCC Business and Public Service Department The topics and panelists include: 

  • Technology Integration (ABCO Systems, Seth Weisberg, CEO; Topic: Robotics and the challenges associated with material handling integration) 
  • Transportation (Federal Express, Ayaz Aslam, Manager, Operations; Topic: Technology improvements in the transportation industry) 
  • Logistics (Port Authority of NY/NJ, Blair Wegesheide, Manager of Port Efficiency, Facilities and Goods Movement; Topic: Technology improvements in the import/export trade) 
  • Talent Recruitment & Pipeline (Fiserv, Jennifer Manchester, Chief Human Resource Manager; Topic: Keeping the pipeline full) 
  • Global Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Complexities (Sanofi, Stefan Roehr, Head of Global Supply Chain NA. Interim Head of Global Distribution; Topic: Complexity in the supply chain) 
  • Artificial Intelligence/Cloud Computing (Collectors, Dan Van Tran, Chief Technology Officer; Topic: The commercial adoption of artificial intelligence) 
  • Social Media Marketing (Suburbanite Productions, Thomas Bentey, CEO; Topic: The expansive role of social media sharing information)
