Raritan Valley Community College will celebrate its 9th Annual “Giving Day” on Thursday with a “Be All In” theme and a wide range of giving opportunities for potential supporters.

Additionally, the “match challenge” is back again this year, thanks to two generous benefactors— Jim and Jill Gibson of Basking Ridge and The Caruso Family Foundation — whose combined gifts will provide $50,000 in matching funds to support RVCC Giving Day 2025. If the RVCC community can raise $50,000, the $50,000 match funds are added to the fundraising total.

Members of the community are invited to participate in this 24-hour, online fundraising event organized by the RVCC Foundation. Last year, RVCC raised $154,355 on Giving Day to help students, programs, and priorities of RVCC.

“We’ve never been more committed to this annual one-day fundraising tradition,” said Mike Marion, executive director of the RVCC Foundation and RVCC Alumni Association. “And our ‘be all in’ theme is really an invitation to everyone who cares about this College and its students, to join us on March 27.”

RVCC Giving Day 2025 donors may select from an assortment of college programs, student clubs, RVCC Athletic teams, and other initiatives, including the Student Resource Center and Food Pantry, the Pray Family Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement at RVCC, Honors College, and Workforce Training Center, and several scholarship offerings. Donors can also “write in” their giving preferences if they don’t see it on the website.

Those interested in being counted as a donor on RVCC Giving Day 2025 should visit www.raritanval.edu/givingday on March 27 and make a minimum gift of $10. Donors also may text RVCC to 71777 to donate from their phone, using any major credit or debit card.

Anyone interested in making a “pledge” of support before March 27 can do so by texting RVCC to 71777 or by visiting  RVCC Giving Day online. Those who pledge in advance will be contacted March 27 by RVCC Foundation staff to accept their gift and designated area of support.

For additional information about Giving Day, donors are also encouraged to contact Janet Dunne at 908-648-8355 or janet.dunne@raritanval.edu.
