Sherrill Announces Transition Advisory Task Force, Including NJBIA’s Siekerka, Ford

Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill and Lt. Governor-elect Dale Caldwell today announced a new, 400-plus member Transition Interdisciplinary Advisory Task Force, which includes NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka and NJBIA Vice President of Government Affairs Althea D. Ford.

This advisory group is expected play a key role in shaping the policy priorities of the incoming Sherrill-Caldwell administration, with members being asked to provide feedback to both the Transition Action Teams and Transition staff, which were announced last week, regarding the incoming administration's policy priorities.

The interdisciplinary group with diverse and broad expertise and representation among a cross-section of stakeholders including labor, business, veterans, the environment, healthcare, education, and more.

The group is expected to provide input to the Governor-elect and the Action Teams announced last week.

Governor-elect Sherrill also recently announced an effort to engage New Jersey residents through a public survey.

“Our team will hit the ground running on Day One because of everyone stepping up to create a better future for the people of New Jersey,” said Governor-elect Sherrill. “This Task Force, along with our Action Teams, is a crucial step in our mission to deliver and make life more affordable in New Jersey. I am grateful to everyone volunteering their time and lending their expertise to our transition as we work to make a difference for the people we serve."

NJBIA Board of Trustees Members Denise Beckson and James Horne also were named to the task force.
