10th Annual Women Business Leaders Forum Register Today!

NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka is among the prominent leaders recently named to South Jersey Biz’s 2024 Power 50 list, which recognizes the state’s most influential decision-makers in government and business.

“Every year, the leaders we recognize in Power 50 represent the sum of the industries that collectively serve as the economic engine making South Jersey hum, and 2024’s installment is no exception,” the magazine said.

Siekerka has led the state’s most impactful association representing New Jersey businesses since 2014, expanding NJBIA’s voice on critical policy issues, as well as member services and resources.

Under her leadership, NJBIA has fought for pro-business reforms to make New Jersey more regionally competitive for businesses and built strategic workforce development alliances among academia, business and government.

South Jersey Biz’s Power 50 asked the selected leaders to talk about their professional career paths they’ve taken and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.

“I always wanted to be a lawyer or a judge when I was a young girl,” Siekerka said. “Despite pursuing that career, I learned along my path that new opportunities present themselves and you must never be afraid to seize them. I am exactly where I should be, even if I could never have imagined it — and I love it!”
