NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka was among the influential New Jersey business leaders selected by the editors of NJBIZ magazine for its 2024 Power 100 List on Monday.
Gail Friedberg Rottenstrich, a member of the NJBIA Board of Trustees and the co-founder of ZAGO Manufacturing in Newark, was also honored in the 2024 NJBIZ Power 100 List, as were the leaders of many other NJBIA-member businesses.
The Top 10 alone included several prominent NJBIA members: Hackensack Meridian Health CEO Robert Garrett; Bergen New Bridge Medical Center President CEO Deborah Visconi; and Jersey Mike’s Founder & CEO Peter Cancro.
In compiling the list, NJBIZ said it identifies individuals who are notable for their professional and public service accomplishments and who are “helping make New Jersey a better place to live, work and do business.”
NJBIZ singled out Siekerka as “a leading voice for the Garden State business community” who has expanded NJBIA’s voice on critical policy issues affecting New Jersey businesses since taking the helm of the organization in 2014.
“NJBIA is consistently on the front lines of those major policy issues – such as last year’s corporate business tax surcharge sunset and many more,” NJBIZ said. “Siekerka is also a fierce advocate for empowering and supporting women leaders,” the magazine said.
The New Jersey Women Business Leaders Forum powered by NJBIA began under Siekerka’s leadership and will celebrate 10 years this fall. It is the largest professional women’s conference in the state, bringing together hundreds of corporate and nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs and students to inspire and empower the building of successful businesses and increase diversity in the C-suite. The 2024 WBLF will be held Sept. 25-26 in Atlantic City.
