On this past weekend’s “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, AT&T Regional Vice President Jaci Kator and Raritan Bay Area YMCA President Steve Jobin joined Bob Considine to discuss the opening of AT&T’s first Connected Learning Center in New Jersey, and the unique effort to bridge the digital divide for those who need it in the community.

“There are many people who don’t have access to the Internet, they don’t have a laptop, they don’t even know how to use email or create a resume … so our mission is to help millions of people throughout the country … connect and be connected to have the resources that they need,” Kator said.

“Connectivity in rental units and so forth, which is a big part of our residency, is [limited and] that creates challenges,” Jobin said. “It’s just super important in today’s day and age to be able to at least have some place to go and this is a new asset to [Perth Amboy] that we really needed, specifically, in this area of town.”

NJBIA’s “Minding Your Business” is a weekly TV show and the winner of seven Telly Awards over the past three years, including a gold 2024 Telly in the Interview & Talk Show category
