On this past weekend’s “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, CSG Law Chair for Tax, Trusts and Estates Steven Loeb joined host Bob Considine to discuss the big tax changes in estate planning and family planning resulting from President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act that businesses should know about.

“What we’re sort of telling clients is act wealthy while you can. Part of it is, with the stock market being at the higher level, you never know what a next administration will do,” Loeb said. “While it’s a permanent bill, if… the Democrats take control we could have a change in legislation again, but for the moment it’s permanent.

“But with that, when you make wealth transfers… you’re not just transferring the asset itself, it’s the appreciation, so if you can get discounts on certain things and take advantage of that and then the appreciation is moved over, that’s very helpful.”

NJBIA’s “Minding Your Business” is a weekly TV show and the winner of seven Telly Awards over the past three years, including a gold 2024 Telly in the Interview & Talk Show category.
