On this past weekend’s “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, Fight for Freelancers co-founder Kim Kavin and NJBIA Vice President of Government Affairs Elissa Frank joined Bob Considine to discuss their strong opposition to a controversial rule proposed by the state Department of Labor that aims to classify many more New Jersey independent contractors as employees for the companies they service.
“It's important because what's being attacked is our fundamental freedom to hang out a shingle and go into business for ourselves,” Kavin told Considine. “That's the thing they're trying to take away.”
