Michele Siekerka

NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka, Esq.

In naming Michele Siekerka to the Power 100 list again this year, NJBIZ cited NJBIA’s president and CEO as leading the fight against the $15 minimum wage and credited the association with stopping the independent contractor bill and bad faith legislation in lame duck.

“Under Michele’s leadership, NJBIA has been on the frontlines of stopping, stalling or mitigating policies that serve as a detriment to small and large business,” the magazine said.

NJBIZ pointed to the big picture items the association has tackled under Siekerka’s leadership, including its financial cliff report detailing the state’s debt crisis and how it has the potential to drive taxes even higher.

The magazine also put greater emphasis on business in general.
