Open enrollment for the ACA Marketplace begins Nov.  1 and runs through Dec.  15.  New Jersey residents will have three carriers to choose from: Horizon BCBSNJ, AmeriHealth, and Oscar.

The New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute’s latest newsletter shares tips for organizations that want to help get the word out about the upcoming open enrollment period so that New Jersey residents don’t lose the opportunity to secure health insurance coverage in 2018.

The 2018 rates have not yet been released, but are now expected to be higher than they otherwise would have been had the Trump administration or Congress authorized payment of the Cost Sharing Reductions (CSR), according to the Institute. CSRs are the discounts that lower what low-income people must pay for deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.
