If you are healthy and feeling well, the American Red Cross needs you. The organization is facing a severe blood shortage after more than 6,000 blood drives were canceled nationwide, including 170 here in New Jersey.
“Please, share your good health!” the organization said in a message to supporters. “If you are healthy and feeling well, please make an appointment to donate this week by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
“Please be patient when making an appointment. As this important message is getting out and more people are making appointments, you may experience a longer than usual wait time. New blood drives are being added daily, if you do not find a drive in your area today, please check again in the near future.”
