Please join us on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. for our Virtual NJBIA Joint Education & Workforce Development and Employment & Labor Policy Committee Meeting being held online via Zoom video conferencing.
Joining us will be Howard Miller, Assistant Director of Business Engagement & Sector Strategies at New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development. He will present on the various DOLWD programs and initiatives that support businesses and enhance worker skills and training, as well as how industry can engage DOLWD to ensure effective collaboration and efficient utilization of resources. We will also hear from Amy M. Vazquez, Vice President of Employers Association of New Jersey (EANJ). Amy will be discussing new HR issues affecting NJ’s businesses. Specifically, she will be discussing the 1) new NJ law that protects employees from immigration status threats; and 2) the requirement for employers to register with Retire-Ready or certify their exemption from the program.
