The New Jersey Economic Development Authority will host an in-person seminar on Tuesday for small developers interested in learning more about NJEDA grants to resume or jump-start commercial or mixed-use real estate projects.

The Emerging Developers Grant Program can provide support for up to 50% of pre-development soft costs with grants of up to $200,000 or a maximum of $250,000 for projects located in designated Opportunity Zones. Soft costs include architectural fees, engineering reports, legal fees, and more.

Both for-profit and nonprofit developers with no more than five employees at the time of application may be eligible. To qualify, developers must have at least 51% ownership of the proposed project and have completed at least two and no more than five commercial or mixed-use projects of similar scope.

The NJEDA will host an in-person information about this grant opportunity on Tuesday, March 12 from 6 p.m. to 8. p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn on the Camden Waterfront, located at 1 Penn St., Camden, NJ 08102.

Go here to register to attend the information session, where NJEDA experts will be on hand to offer guidance about the application process.
