On the most recent ‘Minding Your Business,’ NJMEP CEO John W. Kennedy and NJBIA CEO Michele Siekerka discussed the new Manufacturing Counts partnership to strengthen support of the manufacturing industry.
The duo told host Bob Considine that the formalization of the partnership, after years of working together, is important now because of the many issues surrounding the industries, what it brings to New Jersey’s economy and vulnerabilities exposed during the pandemic.
“How many people were talking about supply chain? Now that’s the conversation at every meal,” Kennedy said.
“It’s really important right now because we have to raise the criticality of this industry to our policymakers,” Siekerka added.
Kennedy and Siekerka also discussed the Legislative Manufacturing Caucus and the issue of regulatory hurdles for the industry.
