The fear is that raising taxes will lead to a “brain drain.” This research shows that the most innovative individual inventors are significantly affected by top tax rates when deciding where to live. Additionally, if the average country decreased its top tax rate, it would attract many more foreign superstar inventors to the country.

AT&T Invests Nearly $1.4 Billion Over 3-Year Period to Enhance NJ Local Networks AT&T reports it has invested nearly $1.4 billion in its New Jersey wireless and wired networks from 2014-2016. These investments drive a wide range of upgrades including reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses, according to the company. They also improve critical services that support public safety and first responders. In 2016, AT&T made nearly 1,300 wireless network upgrades in New Jersey, including new cell sites, the addition of network capacity, and site modifications to enhance coverage and capacity.

Delran STEM Ecosystem Alliance Named to National STEM Learning Ecosystem The newly-formed Delran STEM Ecosystem Alliance has just been selected to join the STEM Learning Ecosystems national initiative to make a significant impact on STEM education and workforce development. As announced at the U.S. News STEM Solutions National Leadership Conference today, Delran Township is one of 17 regional Ecosystems added to the national Initiative, which now encompasses 54 communities.
NJIT and Mercer County Community College Establish Academic Partnership New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and Mercer County Community College (MCCC) in West Windsor Township have signed a joint agreement designed to improve student access across the two higher-education institutions. The 2+2 Connect Articulation Agreement will enable MCCC students to earn a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from NJIT while studying almost entirely at MCCC’s campus.
At AAUW of NJ’s Teentech Program, Young Women Told “We Need All of You in Science” “I want to go to space,” said Amber Densten, as she waited with classmates to begin a science workshop during the American Association of University Women (AAUW) of New Jersey’s Teentech program at Stockton University. Densten is only a freshman at Burlington County High School, but she already knows that she wants aerospace engineering in her future. “I like space and thinking about going to other planets,” she said. For a school project, she developed a settlement plan for humans to live on Mars.
