New Jersey’s community colleges have announced a series of four summits to bring together industry leaders and educators to explore opportunities and challenges related to the rapidly changing labor market. The first summit, focused on health services industry, is scheduled for Oct. 21.
According to the New Jersey Council of County Colleges, the Industrial Pathways Summits support the mission of the New Jersey Pathway and Skills Collaboratives to create a statewide network of education and workforce preparation that is industry-driven, partnership-based and focused on equity and inclusion.
Each summit will include robust discussions led by industry leaders on important trends impacting their industrial sector and focus on developing a consensus on industry specific career pathways that will support economic growth and inclusion. All of the summits are free virtual events that begin at 9:30 a.m. on the follow dates:
- Oct. 21: Health Services Industry Pathway Summit
- Oct. 23: Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management Industry Pathway Summit
- Oct. 28: Innovation & Technology Industry Pathway Summit
- Oct. 30: Energy Industry Pathway Summit
