NJBIA Deputy Chief Government Affairs Officer Ray Cantor and two members of NJBIA’s Board of Trustees were honored this week on ROI-NJ’s Energy and Utilities Influencers List, which recognizes the most impactful energy leaders in the state.

In addition to Cantor, ROI-NJ also named NJBIA Trustees Mike Renna, president & CEO of South Jersey Industries, and Rick Thigpen, senior vice president for Corporate Citizenship at PSEG, to its 2024 Energy & Utilities Influencers list.

PSEG President & CEO Ralph LaRosa, who leads the state’s largest utility company, topped the industry influencers list in the No. 1 spot.

ROI-NJ recognized Cantor as one of New Jersey’s top thought leaders on energy issues. “He and NJBIA often are out in front on issues that discuss how energy policy will impact the business community,” ROI-NJ said.

Renna, who joined NJBIA’s Board of Trustees in 2023, leads one of New Jersey’s most prominent energy infrastructure companies. “The company’s recent announcement on the Linden Renewable Energy project, which will convert organic waste into pipeline-quality RNG, is just one way he is keeping SJI ahead of the curve on clean energy initiatives,” ROI-NJ said.

Thigpen serves on PSEG’s senior executive team and also chairs the PSEG Foundation. He is responsible for areas of the business that drive public policy through advocacy, including federal, state and local government affairs, sustainability and ESG, charitable activities and corporate social responsibility. Thigpen joined NJBIA’s Board of Trustees in 2021.
