Annual Salary: $70,000.00
Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will manage the monthly accounting cycle to produce accurate and complete financial reports, maintaining general ledger accounts according to GAAP. A high level of integrity and attention to detail is required. This role utilizes independent judgment and excellent accounting, analytical and database skills to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload. Supports the organization with the ability to analyze systems and maintain best practices with regard to recording transactions, maintaining membership dues data and general ledger/financial reporting with efficiency and accuracy. Manage all accounts receivable activity. Monthly billing of membership renewals and other subscription-based products via various online software platforms. Creating and reporting on various aspects of membership data for management. Review for accuracy and approvals all invoices and process into accounting system for payment. Prepare account reconciliations and variance analysis for monthly close. Review trail balance for accuracy and completeness and generate monthly financial statements for review by Director of Finance and CFO.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 5 years related general accounting experience, holding positions of increasing responsibility.
- A background check is required for this position.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of accounting principles, regulations and systems.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft products such as Outlook and Teams
- Intermediate to advanced Excel.
- Ability to excel in a team-based fast paced environment and be flexible with changing work priorities.
- Excellent accounting, analytical, technical and database skills.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to work with individuals both within and outside of the organization at all levels in a hybrid/remote working environment.
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proactive approach to workflow and problem solving.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs for accounting file maintenance as needed.
