The Fiscal Year 2018 state budget is set for a final vote Thursday following yesterday’s approval of a $34.7 billion spending plan by both the Assembly and Senate budget committees, along with legislation that would transfer state Lottery assets to the public-employee pension system to offset the pension liability.

The state constitution requires a balanced budget be enacted by July 1.
