Businesses and other organizations interested in learning more about how waste reduction, recycling and buying recycled products can help their bottom line and the environment are invited to the free May 7 online meeting of the New Jersey WasteWise Business Network. 

New Jersey certified recycling professionals can earn 1.5 recertification credits for attending this online seminar scheduled from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7 on the Zoom videoconferencing platform. Go here to register. 

Experts in a range of recycling and environmental sustainability areas will be giving 20-minute presentations on the following topics: 

  • Helpsy’s Clothing Reuse and Recycle Program, presented by Lisa Sciannella, chief of staff, Helpsy, a certified B Corporation located in Eatontown that is dedicated to keeping clothing out of landfills.  
  • Advancing Compost Manufacturing, Compost Utilization and Organics Recycling in New Jersey, presented by Jairo Gonzalez, president, New Jersey Composting Council. 
  • L’Oréal USA’s Award-Winning Waste Reduction, Recycling and Recycled Product Procurement Initiatives, presented by Brian Orsini, director of Sustainability–North American Operations, L’Oréal. 
  • The Environmental and Economic Benefits of Refurbished Toner Cartridges and Sustainable Printing, presented by Tricia Judge, executive director, International Imaging Technology Council, a trade association for dealers of remanufactured imaging supplies. 

A brief audience question and answer period will follow the presentations.
