The New Jersey Business & Industry Association has added two new co-chairs to its Diversity & Inclusion Council, which was launched last year.

Rodric Bowman, Regional Disaster Officer with the American Red Cross, and Claude Richardson, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Delta Dental of New Jersey, are the newest members of NJBIA’s D&I Council. They join fellow co-chairs Rina Desai, Director of Financial Planning at Panasonic North America, and Shy Hopkins, Marketing Program Director of the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers and Owner of Ahmani Hopkins LLC.

“We are thrilled to have Rodric and Claude on our D&I Council and we value the input they bring to the table,” said NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka. “We are very fortunate to have this insightful and talented group as we continue to convene best practice discussions and develop strategies to create more inclusive and respectful workplaces.”

On March 31 and April 1, NJBIA hosted its first Diversion & Inclusion Summit, with more than 140 registrants joining for a two-day exchange of ideas and resources to increase or improve inclusivity in the workplace.

NJBIA will host its next two D&I meetings on May 13 and July 14.

NJBIA members who are interested in joining the association’s D&I Council, or its Women Business Leaders Council, Human Resource Council, and/or Not-for-Profit Council, can go to njbia.org/councils.
