On this weekend’s “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, the show revisits highlights from NJBIA’s recent “Taxing Your Bottom Line” event featuring two compelling panels.
The first panel, featuring Deputy State Treasurer Aaron Binder, Garden State Initiative Policy Director Audrey Lane, EY Senior Manager Michael Puzyk and Stevens & Lee Co-Chair David Shipley, focuses on how New Jersey’s economy stands to benefit from a lower Corporate Business Tax rate.
The second panel, featuring Baker Tax & Accounting CEO Mary Baker, Stevens & Lee Co-Chair Richard Botwright, and Division of Taxation Taxpayer Service Representative Michael Kovacs, is a discussion on how small businesses can avoid mistakes that lead to tax headaches.
Also on this weekend’s show, NJBIA Chief Government Affairs Officer Christopher Emigholz talks with host Bob Considine about the latest updates on the sunset of the CBT surtax, an NJBIA-supported bill that would provide some CBT reform for certain larger employers, and the specter of small business relief as part of the FY24 budget.
