On this past weekend’s episode of ‘Minding Your Business,’ Marc Saint-Ulysse, CEO of a new music networking and collaborating platform called Razu, discussed having the logo of his startup on the helmets of the New Jersey Devils this season.

The promotion for the Irvington-based company was the result of a Buy Black Program started by the Devils, and funded by Prudential Financial, to promote local, Black-owned businesses and provide them with expert marketing consultation, advertising value, and other tools to succeed.

Saint-Ulysse told host Bob Considine that he was “shocked” to find out his startup had won the award, as he imagined a bricks-and-mortar shop having a better chance.

And what happened the first game in December when the Razu logo appearance on the Devils’ helmets?

“The second that first game started, analytics were just going crazy,” he said.
