Building a personal brand is not about shameless self-promotion, it is about identifying your unique capabilities and how they dovetail with those of your team and the rest of your organization.

The goal is to help others see the value you bring to an organization because of your experience, expertise, accomplishments, and public image. Building your brand effectively is as important for an employee on the first rung of the career ladder as it is for the CEO.

At the 2023 New Jersey Women Business Leaders Forum, powered by NJBIA, the “Branding Yourself” panel discussion will feature insights from four experts:

  • Renee Altomonte, retail market president for TD Bank, and member of the bank’s Women in Leadership Council that is mentoring female employees to help them gain exposure to senior leaders and new career opportunities.
  • Birdia Chambers, founder & CEO of Epic Transformation, who is an expert social media strategist specializing in helping organizations, small businesses, and individuals increase their social media presence, elevate their brand, and grow their careers and businesses.
  • Donna Miller, chief visionary officer at C3Workplace and founder of Donna Miller Business Growth Consulting. Miller is an expert on accelerating business growth, a successful entrepreneur, and dynamic speaker who is also offering free one-on-one coaching sessions during the WBLF.
  • Maeve Wang, co-founder & CEO, IAMBIC, a software turned custom-fit shoe company that uses artificial intelligence and streamlined manufacturing to transform a foot shape into a foot product. Wang leads a team of scientists, designers, and craftsmen who are reinventing an industry that has been long-plagued by uniformity and mass-production.

The 9th Annual New Jersey Women Business Leaders Forum will be held Sept. 27-28 at the Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott. The largest professional women’s conference in New Jersey, it brings together hundreds of corporate and nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, and students each year to inspire and empower the building of successful businesses and to increase diversity in corporate leadership, both in the C-suite and the boardroom.

The two-day event includes executive TED-style talks, multiple breakout sessions led by expert panelists, one-on-one coaching, help with building résumés, LinkedIn makeovers and numerous networking opportunities to help women advance at every stage of their career.
