Millennials are businesses’ future workforce and they are leaving New Jersey at a higher rate than any other state, making millennial outmigration an important economic issue that requires policymakers’ urgent attention, according to NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka.

In a recent appearance on the talk show One-on-One with Steve Adubato, Siekerka said New Jersey has a pretty good brand of higher education but it does not do enough to encourage high school graduates to stay in the state.  Then there is affordability:  New Jersey’s four-year education institutions are the fourth most expensive in the nation.
