The African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (AACCNJ) is requesting employers who are having trouble filling positions to send them their job postings.
Speaking at NJBIA’s Hiring Crisis Press Conference earlier this week, AACCNJ Chief of Policy and Government Affairs Ferlanda Nixon said “the unemployment rate for Blacks still remains the highest in the state, notwithstanding the labor shortage.”
She asked that employers send job postings to AACCNJ’s Nicole Baptiste, so AACCNJ can spread the word to its constituents.
“Since the African American Chamber is dedicated to economically empowering and sustaining the Black community by being a critical source of information and resources, we can help bridge the gap,” Nixon said.
“We all know that information shared by a trusted source yields plenty,” she said.
