On this past weekend’s ‘Minding Your Business,’ IBEW Local 102 Business Manager Patrick Delle Cava discussed the evolution of the 100+ year union and how it consistently puts quality electric workers into the field.
Delle Cava told host Bob Considine that Local 102 serves almost as a “temporary employment agency” for those in the electrical field.
“I have 2,500 highly trained men and women go through a five-year apprenticeship program,” Delle Cava said. “They’re employed by 250 different employers. They can be sent out for a day’s worth of work – to a lifetime’s worth of work.”
