On Monday, May 1, the Senate Labor Committee is scheduled to meet and consider the following bills:
S2561 (Turner) – Requires determination of eligibility and payment of family temporary disability leave benefits within three weeks of filing notices of claims for benefits.
S2870 (Cruz-Perez, Cunningham) – Establishes Office for Women’s Advancement in DOLWD to facilitate full and equal participation of women in workplace; makes an appropriation.
S2929 (Diegnan) – Requires state contractors to continue to pay employee usual compensation for each day of jury service, less the amount of per diem fee for each day of jury service.
A1855 (Wimberly, Prieto, Oliver) – Concerns outreach and training for minorities and women in the construction industry.
A4172 (Downey, Muoio, Houghtaling) – Concerns timely provision of TDI and family temporary disability benefits.
